Heat Pump Rebates

Kay Electric members now have an additional incentive to choose energy efficient air source or ground source heat pumps. The rebate program is designed to encourage members to install the most energy efficient units that help reduce demand and decrease energy use during the peak summer months when prices are greater.

Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) Rebate(Desuperheater required) Full Load

Minimum Specifications: Tier 1 -       $475/ton

  • Closed Loop > 16.1 EER & 3.3 COP.......(Desuperheater required)
  • Open Loop > 18.2 EER & 3.6 COP.........(Desuperheater required)

 

Minimum Specifications: Tier 2 - $650/ton
 

  • Closed Loop > 18.5.1 EER & 3.6 COP.......(Desuperheater required)
  • Open Loop > 20.2 EER & 4.0 COP.........(Desuperheater required)

Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Rebate $225/ton

Minimum Specifications:

  • Minimum Seer of 16
  • Minimum EER 13.4
  • Minimum HSPF of 8.5
  • Backup/Supplemental heat can be Natural Gas or Propane

In order to qualify for the program, members will need to provide a copy of their itemized invoice and a certification by the HVAC contractor. An inspection by Kay Electric personnel is also required to receive the rebate.  Members and contractors can download a copy of the Rebate Application at the link below.
