KAY ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE YOUTH TOUR CONTEST - ESSAYS DUE FEB. 29

KEC sponsors two area high school juniors as recipients of the Oklahoma Rural Electric Washington DC Youth Tour.

Youth Tour is a weeklong, all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C.

Experiences include:

  • Arlington National Cemetery
  • The Vietnam Memorial
  • The Smithsonian museums
  • A night time driving tour of Washington, D.C.
  • A boat cruise on the Potomac River
  • The Pentagon

The Washington Youth Tour is open only to high school juniors in the KEC service area . The winners will be selected to attend the Rural Electric Youth Tour to Washington, D.C.

- How was KEC formed
-What does the future hold for KEC

These are just a few highlight topics that a student could use for their essay.
A student could also interview a longtime KEC member, a current or past board member or even a KEC retiree or a current employee.
