Blackwell, Oklahoma — The Kay Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees has selected Heath Lambert as the cooperative's new Chief Executive Officer and General Manager.
Lambert brings more than 15 years of experience with Kay Electric and a lifelong commitment to the communities served by the cooperative. A native of Blackwell, he began his career with Kay Electric in 2010 as a member of the tree crew before moving to the line crew in 2014. In 2020, he was promoted to Director of Operations, where he helped oversee the cooperative's daily operations and continued modernization efforts.
Doug Worley, who has served as Interim CEO/General Manager since February 2026, has worked closely with Lambert throughout his leadership journey. "Heath carries a high level of integrity and devotion to his work here at Kay Electric," Worley said. "Heath has a great concern for the wellbeing of the members and the employees of the cooperative."
"I got to mentor Heath when he first became the Director of Operations, and he was always asking questions, eager to learn," Worley said. "Heath will make a very good CEO because of his love for the cooperative and his desire not to be self-serving, but to serve."
Now, six years later, Lambert assumes the role of CEO/General Manager, bringing hands-on experience from nearly every aspect of the cooperative's operations. His progression from the tree crew to the cooperative's highest leadership position reflects both his dedication to the cooperative and his commitment to serving its members.

As CEO/General Manager, Lambert will lead the cooperative's strategic direction while continuing Kay Electric's mission of providing safe, reliable, and affordable electric service to its members.
